Compress WebP

Compress WebP images in your browser with Shrinkary: re-encode at chosen quality to cut file size with minimal loss. No upload, no watermark, batch, free.

PNG output stays lossless at quality 100; lower values make PNG files smaller with slight quality loss.

How it works

  1. 1. Choose images

Drag and drop images onto the page, or click to select files from your device.

  2. 2. Processed locally

Compression runs entirely in your browser — images are never uploaded to a server.

  3. 3. Download the result

Download each file as soon as it's ready, or grab everything at once as a ZIP.

How WebP compression works

WebP is a modern image format from Google that supports both lossy and lossless compression, transparency, and animation. Lossy WebP is typically 25-35% smaller than a JPG of similar visual quality, which is why it is widely used on websites to speed up page loads.

Many WebP files on the web are exported at a higher quality than they need. Re-encoding at around 75 usually brings a noticeable size reduction while keeping the image visually unchanged. As with JPG, very low quality settings produce blurring and smudged detail, and repeated lossy compression accumulates loss, so start from the highest-quality source you have.
